INTERMEDIATE PREP CLASS WORKSHOPS
INTERMEDIATE PREP (Adult, Grades 8-12): Prerequisites: This level assumes the student has a basic knowledge of his/her chosen instrument: proper position and bow hold, ability to play scales using whole and half bow, to read music in the proper key and clef, ability to identify and play written rhythms.
Workshop Description: Students will review or acquire technical skills in intensive one-hour, small group format sessions. Areas of focus are student-led. Participation is included for students already signed up for the Intermediate Prep Class. New students may sign up on a prorata basis for individual sessions at the rate of $25 per class. Areas of focus for this Session are:
Violin/Viola: Shifting and Positions (mainly 3rd Position): Vibrato (Hand, Arm and Finger Vibrato; Sound Production (Tone, Articulation, and Bow Technique); Note-reading and Sight reading skills; Ensemble Technique; Targeted Student needs
Cellos: 1/2, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Positions; Vibrato; Ensemble Work; Targeted Student needs

Student must rent his/her own instrument prior to the first class. Options: Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass.
Fee: $130+ $10 Processing Fee/Workshop
